When taking a trip to the big apple, there are some things that
you just have to do. Check out my guide, so you can do all the classic things in
the city that never sleeps attractions.
Bloomingdale's
No trip to New York would be complete without a shopping
excursion to the famous Bloomingdale's. Popularised by the popular 90s sitcom
friends, maybe you'll even see Rachel there? Don't forget to make sure you carry
away your purchase an iconic Bloomingdale's brown bag.
Statue of Liberty
It's pretty much a given that you've got to visit the Statue of
Liberty if you are in New York. Climbing the statue gives you a fantastic view
out across the bay. To save, time, book advance tickets for the crown and
pedestal to avoid the queues. The state is located on Liberty Island. Luckily
it's easy to travel around NYC. To get there, you'll need to take the
ferry, and you can combine it with a trip to Ellis Island as well.
Madison Square Gardens
Probably one of the most famous arenas in the world, there is
always an exciting event to attend in Madison Square Gardens. Check out a new Go
to watch a basketball game or a New York Rangers hockey game for an essential
American experience. WWE wrestling is also a popular spectacle here, book your
tickets and foam finger earlier, as this seat out very quick. Or why not grab
tickets to one of the big name show, with acts such as Kanye West, Ellie
Golding and Amy Schumer booked for this year alone.
New York Deli
An essential part of any New York trip is going for lunch at a
deli. They are well known for their huge range and selection of different
sandwich fillings, so there's bound to be something that you're going to like.
To go for a quintessential New York experience make sure you choose the pastrami
on rye. Try Art's Delicatessen at 20 to 90 Broadway at 82nd Street. Or The Deli
at 205 East Houston Street at Ludlow Street. The latter was featured in the film
when Harry Met
Sally.
